Taichi Yagami /
Tai Kamiya
A college senior studying political science and economics. He currently lives alone, having decided to support himself once he started college. He applies himself cheerfully and earnestly to both his studies and his part-time job, but the truth is, he's undecided about what to do with his future. To this day, if somebody involved with Digimon is in trouble, Taichi will take action to help them.
Agumon
Taichi's partner Digimon; he's a reptile Digimon. He usually has a carefree personality, but when the time comes, he'll stand up to enemies regardless of the danger. His special attack is Baby Flame, in which he spits a fireball from his mouth.
Yamato Ishida /
Matt Ishida
A college senior studying science and engineering. He stopped playing in his band, and while he still enjoys music as a hobby, now he's into motorcycles. Yamato has decided to go on to graduate school, in order to study more and to have time to truly find himself.
Gabumon
Yamato's partner Digimon; while he wears a Garurumon pelt, he's actually a reptile Digimon like Agumon. His special attack is Petit Fire, in which he attacks using small balls of flame.
Sora Takenouchi
A senior at a women's college. Rather than get a job, she's decided to follow the same path as her mother, who's the head of a traditional flower arrangement school. Sociable as ever, Sora has a wide circle of friends and will even teach foreigners, but she feels it's important to have a regular daily routine, and she doesn't see the others very often.
Piyomon / Biyomon
Sora's partner Digimon; a small bird Digimon with wings that have grown like arms. Her special attack is Magical Fire, in which she attacks using phantom flames.
Koshiro Izumi /
Izzy Izumi
While he's a college student, Koshiro runs his own business. With the money he makes, he takes it upon himself to be a sort of hub between the Digital World and the human world, helping people with Digimon-related problems. He's a driving force behind community activities for the DigiDestined, who've spread all around the world.
Tentomon
Koshiro's partner Digimon; an Insectoid Digimon, with a hard shell and six limbs. His special attack is Petit Thunder, in which he emits static electricity from his antennae. For some reason he speaks using the Kansai dialect.
Mimi Tachikawa
She sells goods online that she personally finds "cute." Mimi is a working girl who jets all around the globe, not just Japan. Spending busy days designing original products makes her hard to catch in person, but she faithfully remains in contact.
Palmon
Mimi's partner Digimon; a Vegetation Digimon with a tropical flower attached to her head. Her special attack is Poison Ivy, in which she attacks with poisonous ivy.
Joe Kido
A fifth-year medical college student. Joe's hands-on medical experience is limited, but his uncommon zeal for becoming a doctor finds him studying extra hard every day, and he hardly ever sees any of the others.
Gomamon
Joe's partner Digimon; a sea animal type Digimon that's covered in warm fur and good at swimming. When he gets angry, he makes the red fur from his head down to his back bristle. His special attack is Marching Fishes, in which he freely controls his fish followers.
Takeru Takaishi /
T.K. Takaishi
A freshman studying literature. While his future is unclear, Takeru has also begun taking English and French classes, and he's joined a children's literature club. He also takes part in activities for the sake of Digimon.
Patamon
Takeru's partner Digimon; a mammal type Digimon with distinctively large ears. His special attack is Air Shot, in which he blows out all the air he's inhaled.
Hikari Yagami /
Kari Kamiya
A freshman majoring in early childhood education at a women's junior college. Taichi's decision to live on his own has led to a distance forming between the siblings, but Hikari sees him sometimes at Digimon-related activities.
Tailmon / Gatomon
Hikari's partner Digimon; an Animal Digimon that looks like a kitten. Her special attack is Cat Punch, in which she attacks using long sharp claws.
Daisuke Motomiya /
Davis Motomiya
A freshman who attends a technical school. Daisuke studies every day so he can obtain his chef license. He's chosen to train at a ramen restaurant, and he uses Digital Gates to jump all over the world, eating noodles as research.
V-mon /
Veemon
Daisuke's partner Digimon. Veemon is a small bipedal Dragon Digimon. It's a rascal with a somewhat impertinent personality, but deep down, it's kind, and a sucker for love and duty. Its special attack is Veemon Head, a charging headbutt.
Ken Ichijouji
A college freshman studying psychology. He has a much stronger sense of justice than most, and he takes an active part even in ordinary Digimon activities. Ken often goes along with Daisuke on his ramen trips.
Wormmon
Ken's partner Digimon. It's a Larva Digimon that's shaped like a caterpillar. While it's kind and considerate, it also has a naïve side. Its special attack is Sticky Net.
Miyako Inoue /
Yolei Inoue
A sophomore learning computer programming at an engineering college. Miyako is currently studying abroad in Spain. She manages the DigiDestined community, and works proactively to keep communication going. Her aim is to be a mature woman.
Hawkmon
Miyako's partner Digimon. He's a Bird Digimon that's shaped like an eagle. Hawkmon is polite, calm, and collected. He fancies himself cool and handsome, but he often finds himself at Miyako's beck and call. His special attack is Feather Slash, where he launches his feather, and it spins through the air at high speed.
Iori Hida /
Cody Hida
The only member still in high school (11th grade). With an aim to become an attorney, Iori studies hard to get into law school. Still involved with club activities and kendo, he pushes on down what he considers the right path. He's grown taller, and is starting to look like an adult.
Armadimon /
Armadillomon
Iori's partner Digimon. Armadillomon is a Mammal Digimon with a shell. He's optimistic, as strong as his sturdy appearance suggests, and he speaks in a peculiar Nagoya dialect. His special attack is Rolling Stone, where he retracts his limbs into his shell and rams into his target.
Menoa Bellucci
This scientist is furthering Digimon research at a university in New York. She's what you'd call a child prodigy, having gone to a famous university at age 14. Seeking help from Taichi's group, she contacts them via Koshiro's community, and then she comes to Japan. She also makes references to relationships between humans and Digimon nobody's heard of. One thing that stands out about her is her peculiar way of speaking a mix of English and Japanese.
Kyotaro Imura
Menoa's assistant, he comes with her from New York to Japan. His tall height and the way he bluntly says whatever comes to mind results in his coming across as intimidating.
